A couple of weeks ago, we reported about the possible launch of a gaming smartphone from Black Shark, one of the subsidiaries of Xiaomi. While there is no official confirmation, a new BlackShark smartphone with flagship specifications is now revealed by Antutu. As of now, there are no details about the device name or its model number. The teaser image from its official website reveals the device to feature USB Type-C port and stereo speakers on the bottom edge.
It comes with a metal unibody design with chamfered edges and is covered by a 2.5D curved glass on the top. Talking about the specifications, the first smartphone from BlackShark will be coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. It also includes 8GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. We expect the device to be made available in different storage options.
As we reported earlier, the device might come with the aviation-class cooling system. Since its a gaming-centric device, we expect the company to make even more tweaks. However, we don’t expect the device to be slim or sleek like other flagship devices. While Xiaomi recently launched the MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the upcoming BlackShark smartphone is listed to come with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Let’s wait and see whether it comes with MIUI skin or not. Talking about the display, it offers 18:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Te BlackShark with 270680 Antutu scores has crossed other Snapdragon 845 powered devices including Samsung Galaxy S9and Asus Zenfone 5z. The BlackShark will be competing with the Snapdragon 835 powered RazerPhone. The RazerPhone came with a 120Hz display and 4000mAh battery.
